Depression Glass
Windsor Pink
Windsor, also known as, Windsor Diamond, was made by
Jeannette Glass from 1936 to 1946. it was made in pink, green and crystal with some
dephie, amberina and ice blue. It was made in a complete line. The most pieces
were made in crystal; but since most of the "extra" pieces are different size
tumblers, those pieces aren't really missed in the other colors. There are fewer
pieces in green than in pink and it tends to be harder to find. Now, a word about
the pattern itself. It's easy to confuse this with Cube. However, if you look
at Cube carefully you'll see it's 3-dimensional squares whereas Windsor is really diamond
shaped. There's an 11-1/2" divided relish platter in the pink that's fairly
hard to find. Other than that you should be able to put together a complete set.
(We are sorry but we cannot email photos of each and every piece of glass for sale.
If you need to see a picture of an item to know what it looks like we highly
recommend The Collector's Encyclopedia of Depression Glass by Gene Florence.)
