Depression Stems
Tiffin Glass Amethyst and
Crystal
Tiffin was one of the most prolific manufacturers of
quality glass known. They produced literally hundreds of shapes, styles and
etchings. Often they used one etching on several different stems and it was then
called by a different name. It can be very confusing trying to make sense out of all
of it. During the depression era there was a line of stemware produced that we call
"watermelon" for obvious reasons. They are pink and green. These
stems were made by many different companies from the 1920s thru the 30s including Tiffin,
Central Glass, US Glass and Cambridge, to name a few.
