Elegant Glass
Tiffin
Tiffin Glass was originally part of the United States
Glass Co. Tiffin was produced in Factory "R" in Tiffin, Ohio. In
1927 US Glass changed its symbol and removed its initials from glassware and inserted the
word Tiffin instead. By the mid 1920s Tiffin had responded to the public's demand
for colored glassware and they were producing glass in black, blue, canary, green, ruby,
amber, etc. Indeed, almost every color had varying shades called by different names.
The company was sold to the Continental Can Company in 1966. But, it is the
years from 1938 to 1959 that are considered to be the "Golden Age of Tiffin
Glass."
