Depression Glass
Tea Room Pink
Tea Room was made by Indiana Glass form 1925 to 1931
making it one of the earliest known depression glass patterns. It was made in green
and pink but a few pieces can be found in crystal and amber. It probably derived its
name from its use in tea rooms and soda shops. There are a large number of pieces
but no dinner plates. We've included a photo of an actual piece in order to better
show the shape. The photo is on the Tea Room Pink page. Great looking design
but the pattern causes its own problems. It's difficult to find pieces in perfect
condition because of the points which tend to chip. The hardest pieces to find in
pink are the lamp, marmalade, mustard, pitcher, center-handled tray and the 11"
ruffled edge vase. (We are sorry but we cannot email photos of each and every piece
of glass for sale. If you need to see a picture of an item to know what it looks
like we highly recommend The Collector's Encyclopedia of Depression Glass by Gene
Florence.)
