Depression Glass
Swirl Ultramarine
Swirl, also known as Petal Swirl, was made by the
Jeannette Glass Co from 1937 to 1938. It is mostly found in ultramarine, a pretty
teal color, but it was also made in pink; and, a few pieces were made in delphite
blue. The ultramarine can be all the way from very green to very blue so make sure
to specify which shade you collect if ordering by mail. the 48oz pitcher was only
made in ultramarine and is quite rare. The butter dish is hard to find but not
nearly as hard as the pitcher. (We are sorry but we cannot email photos of each and
every piece of glass for sale. If you need to see a picture of an item to know what
it looks like we highly recommend The Collector's Encyclopedia of Depression Glass
by Gene Florence.)
