Spice Jars

Except for the fact that these spice jars were made from approx the 1920s to the 1940s we don't know very much about them.  They are not too difficult to find individually, but they can be hard to find in a complete set.   They were made with many different colored lids including red, blue, green, black and yellow.  The chocolate colored set is much much harder to find.

 

SPICE JARS

  • Griffiths Spice Jars Large, Yellow Lids: celery salt, chili powder, curry powder, ground bayleaf, ground ginger, ground mace, paprika  $11ea (top photo)
  • Griffiths Spice Jars Large, Black Lids:  allspice, black pepper, cayenne pepper, celery salt, chili seasoning, curry powder, garlic salt, ground bayleaf, ground clove, ground nutmeg, marjoram, paprika, poultry seasoning  $11ea ( same as top photo except for color of lids)
  • Griffiths Spice Jars Small:  cinnamon, garlic salt $9ea (same as in top photo but about 1/2" shorter)
  • Set of 12 Griffiths chocolate color spice jars with yellow/gold lids and original rack:  allspice, black pepper, cinnamon, ground cloves, epicure salt, garlic salt, ground ginger, dry mustard, ground nutmeg, paprika, poultry seasoning, roastmeat seasoning $145
