Depression Glass
Sharon Amber
Sharon, also known as Cabbage Rose, also called Rose
of Sharon, was made by Federal Glass from 1935 to 1939. It was made in amber, green
and pink and some crystal. It was made in a complete line. The hardest pieces
to differentiate, for new collectors, are the thick or thin tumblers. You almost
need to see them side by side. However, this might help. Although they are the
same height the thick tumblers look chunkier. It is not too difficult to obtain a
complete set in the amber. The pitchers and the cheese dish are the hardest pieces
to find. (We are sorry but we cannot email photos of each and every piece of glass
for sale. If you need to see a picture of an item to know what it looks like we
highly recommend The Collector's Encyclopedia of Depression Glass by Gene
Florence.)
