This past year and a half has been a difficult one. My wonderful husband,
Frank, died in February after
a long illness. Since then I've been dealing with everything that entails. Unfortunately my
business, First Class
Glass, has suffered from lack of attention and will continue to do so because of everything I
still have to do. So I have
decided to take a break.
Starting now, and until further notice, I will not be taking any orders for First Class
Glass. Come this spring I will do a complete update and be open for business.
Thank you for your continued patronage.
See you in the spring.
Sandwich was made by Duncan Miller from 1924 to
1955. It was made in crystal, amber, pink, green, red and cobalt blue. All the
pieces below are crystal. We're not really sure why this pattern is included under
the Elegant Glass category. However, Gene Florence, the author of the Collector's
Encyclopedia of Depression Glass and Elegant Glassware of the Depression
Era, includes it in the elegant glass book; so, we do that also. This
pattern was also made in a large number of pieces and prices tend to remain reasonable..
