Depression Glass
Royal Lace Cobalt
Royal Lace is probably one of the most sought after
patterns of depression glass. It's really quite lovely and the colors are
beautiful. Most people prefer the cobalt (a deep rich blue). It was made by
Hazel Atlas and comes in cobalt, crystal, green and pink. There is some amethyst to
be found particularly the toddy set which consists of a cookie jar bottom set in a chrome
base that has a wide flat lip where 8 roly poly glasses sit. It has a chrome top
with a hole for a chrome ladle. There are really no pieces that are easy to find but
the butter dish, nut dish, candlesticks and 96oz pitcher remain the most elusive in the
cobalt. (We are sorry but we cannot email photos of each and every piece of glass
for sale. If you need to see a picture of an item to know what it looks like we
highly recommend The Collector's Encyclopedia of Depression Glass by Gene
Florence.)
