Red Flowers on White

Petalware was made by the MacBeth-Evans Glass Co. from 1930 to 1950.  The edges of the pieces are scalloped so it resembles the petals of a flower.  It was manufactured in a wide variety of designs.  The basic Petalware can be found in plain crystal, transparent pastel pink, monax (white), ivrene (ivory) and cremax (cream).  However, it also was made with decoration which included edge trim, flowers, fruits, scenes, etc.  Be sure to check out The Collector's Encyclopedia of Depression Glass by Gene Florence.  There are some wonderful color photos of a variety of pieces with different patterns.  The pattern we currently we have in stock is called Florette and it's on a monax background.  (We are sorry but we cannot email photos of each and every piece of glass for sale.  If you need to see a picture of an item to know what it looks like we highly recommend The Collector's Encyclopedia of Depression Glass by Gene Florence.)
