Depression Glass
Patrician Amber
Patrician, also known as Spoke, was manufactured by
the Federal Glass Company from 1933 to 1937. It was made in amber, green, pink and
crystal. For beginners it's easy to confuse this pattern with Madrid; but, if you
remeber that Madrid has a Diamond shape in the center and Patrician has a wheel, you'll be
fine. Interestingly, in this pattern and color, the dinner plate is one of the
easiest pieces to find. (We are sorry but we cannot email photos of each and every
piece of glass for sale. If you need to see a picture of an item to know what it
looks like we highly recommend The Collector's Encyclopedia of Depression Glass by
Gene Florence.)
