Elegant Glass
Heisey Orchid

The Heisey Glass Co. started in the late 1800s.  They began making pressed glass in crystal (as in color).  Color was not introduced until the 1920s.  Heisey is considered by many to be the premier glass maker.  Orchid is an etched pattern. It was made from 1940 to 1957. It was only made in crystal. It was made in a complete line. The 6" candleholder, the 14" vase and the 6" covered lemon bowl are the hardest pieces to find.
