Sahara Yellow

The Heisey Glass Co. started in the late 1800s.  They began making pressed glass in crystal (as in color).  Color was not introduced until the 1920s.  Heisey is considered by many to be the premier glass maker.  Old Dominion is one of the shapes made by Heisey.  It was made in a number of different colors including Sahara  (a beautiful yellow) shown here.  Old Dominion is an elegant shape.  Please note that the wavy line on the rim of the water goblet is caused by the optic in the glass.  When you see it in person it is not wavy or chipped, etc.  It's just something the camera does and I have no idea how to correct it.
