Depression Glass
Old Cafe Red

Old Cafe is a lovely little pattern that was made by Hocking Glass from 1936 to 1940.  It wasn't made in very many pieces and the dinner plates are extremely hard to find which, of course, drives the price up for that piece.   We've dinner plates priced at $125 each and they were terribly scratched.  The pattern was made in pink, crystal and ruby.  The lamp and pitchers are also difficult to come by.  The candy dish will be found in crystal with a ruby cover.   Evidently a ruby bottom has never been found.  (We are sorry but we cannot email photos of each and every piece of glass for sale.  If you need to see a picture of an item to know what it looks like we highly recommend The Collector's Encyclopedia of Depression Glass by Gene Florence.)
