Depression Glass
Newport Amethyst

Newport, also known as Hairpin, was made by the Hazel Atlas Glass Co from 1936 to 1940.  It was made primarily in cobalt blue and amethyst but a few pieces can be found in pink, white and fired-on colors.  There were only about 16-20 pieces made so there's not a large selection; but it's a simple pattern, very pretty and not too pricey.  (We are sorry but we cannot email photos of each and every piece of glass for sale.  If you need to see a picture of an item to know what it looks like we highly recommend The Collector's Encyclopedia of Depression Glass by Gene Florence.)
