Depression Glass
New Century Amethyst
New Century, also known as Lydia Ray, was made by the
Hazel Atlas Glass Co. from 1930 to 1935. It was made mostly in green but there are a
few pieces in crystal, pink, amethyst and cobalt blue. This pattern is not seen
often but it's still not too expensive for most people. It was made in a complete
line so it is possible to collect a complete dinner service. (We are sorry but we
cannot email photos of each and every piece of glass for sale. If you need to see a
picture of an item to know what it looks like we highly recommend The Collector's
Encyclopedia of Depression Glass by Gene Florence.)
