Depression Glass
Mt. Pleasant Cobalt
Mount Pleasant also known as Double Shield was manufactured by the L.E.
Smith Glass Co from the 1920s until 1934. There were no dinner plates
made but there are luncheon plates, cups and saucers, one style of tumbler
and serving pieces. It was made in cobalt blue, black amethyst (a very
very dark purple that looks black until held up to light, amethyst, crystal,
pink, green & white. (We are sorry but we
cannot email photos of each and every piece of glass for sale. If you need to see a
picture of an item to know what it looks like we highly recommend The Collector's
Encyclopedia of Depression Glass by Gene Florence.)
