Depression Stems
Monongah Glass
Vaseline
The Monongah Glass Co. began in 1903 in W.VA. and was
one of the biggest producers of pressed and blown tumblers and stemware.
Ultimately, Monongah came under the wings of Hocking Glass. It was Monongah that
introduced the line called "Cameo" although they named it Springtime.
However, under Hocking it was re-named "Cameo" and became one of the most famous
and sought-after patterns of depression glass. Monongah was made in almost every
color imaginable. The glass referred to as "vaseline" was generally made
with uranium oxide and under normal light it will be yellow. It will
glow green under a black or UV light. Please note,
the number (#) preceding each item refers to our inventory number. Please use the number
when inquiring or ordering. Thank you.
