The Monongah Glass Co. began in 1903 in W.VA. and was one of the biggest producers of pressed and blown tumblers and stemware.   Ultimately, Monongah came under the wings of Hocking Glass.  It was Monongah that introduced the line called "Cameo" although they named it Springtime.   However, under Hocking it was re-named "Cameo" and became one of the most famous and sought-after patterns of depression glass.  Monongah was made in almost every color imaginable.
