Lafayette Wisteria

Lafayette was made by Fostoria from 1931 to 1944 and was ultimately discontinued in 1960.  In crystal it is used as the blank for many of Fostoria's etched patterns.  A complete set can be collected with some patience.   The most difficult pieces to find are th 12" flared salad bowl and the 2-part mayonaise.  Wisertia in this pattern, as in others, is the most desired color.  Just remember, under florescent lights wisteria looks blue.  If you're not sure ask to see the piece(s) in natural light.  Please note the first photo shows an assemblage of wisteria in various patterns including Lafayette.
