Kitchen Glass
Tipp City Shakers
During the depression era there were many companies
that made kitchen glass with a Dutch themes - windmills, skaters, milk maids, etc.,
flowers, fruits, "Simple Simon", birds, animals, etc. Most of these were
made by McKee Glass Co and decorated by Tipp City Glass. In addition,
there were various other patterns/designs such as birds, people, dots,
flowers, etc. Generally shakers are white
milk glass or custard color glass background with various color decals and
sometimes hand painted designs.
