Depression Glass
Holiday aka Buttons and Bows Iridescent
Holiday, also known as buttons and bows, was made by
the Jeannette Glass Company in the mid-1950's. Obviously it's not depression glass.
However, so many collectors of depression glass have begun to embrace the patterns
that were made in the 40's, 50's and 60's they are included in these pages. It was
made in pink and iridescent. A few pieces can occasionally be found in an opaque
shell pink and crystal. There were not too many pieces made in this pattern and a
number of them are difficult to find such as the soup bowl, 10-3/4" console bowl,
candlesticks, cake plate, 13-3/4" chop plate and the 6' footed tumbler. (We are
sorry but we cannot email photos of each and every piece of glass for sale. If you
need to see a picture of an item to know what it looks like we highly recommend The
Collector's Encyclopedia of Depression Glass by Gene Florence.)
