This past year and a half has been a difficult one. My wonderful husband,
Frank, died in February after
a long illness. Since then I've been dealing with everything that entails. Unfortunately my
business, First Class
Glass, has suffered from lack of attention and will continue to do so because of everything I
still have to do. So I have
decided to take a break.
Starting now, and until further notice, I will not be taking any orders for First Class
Glass. Come this spring I will do a complete update and be open for business.
Thank you for your continued patronage.
See you in the spring.
Heisey is considered by many, and certainly by the
Heisey collectors, to be the premier glass company of all times. In our opinion it
is certainly right up there with a few others. Heisey started out making cut and
pressed glass and moved to color in the early 1920s. They made many colors including
cobalt blue,"flamingo" (pink), "moongleam" (green) and "sahara"
(yellow). All of their colors are fantastic. In addition to
color they did beautiful etched glass. "Minuet", one of the etched
patterns below, has several different designs. Two of them can be seen
in row 2 of the photos. Please note, the number (#)
preceding each item refers to our inventory number. Please use when inquiring or
ordering. Thank you.
