Hazel Atlas
Hazel Atlas Glass Company was created with the merger
of the Hazel Glass Company and the Atlas Glass and Metal Company, both of Washington, PA
in 1902. Hazel Atlas opened its headquarters in Wheeling, West Virginia. In
1929 they began to make colored glass. They made green, pink, topaz, cobalt blue,
black, crystal, white milk glass (wmg) and dark amethyst. The company was taken over
by Continental Can in 1956.
