Depression Glass
Georgian Green
Georgian, also known as Lovebirds, was made by the
Federal Glass Company from 1931 to 1936. For some reason it is often confused with
Parrot. The lovebirds on the Georgian pattern are rather small and there are also
baskets in the pattern alternating with the birds except on tumblers where you'll see only
the baskets. With parrot there are just the 2 birds sitting on a leafy branch and
the birds are quite large. There are not a lot of pieces of Georgian but enough to
make a dinner service. The cold cuts server or lazy susan is quite rare. (We
are sorry but we cannot email photos of each and every piece of glass for sale. If
you need to see a picture of an item to know what it looks like we highly recommend The
Collector's Encyclopedia of Depression Glass by Gene Florence.)
