Depression Glass
Gadroon Red

September 26, 2013

Hi Everyone,

This past year and a half has been a difficult one. My wonderful husband, Frank, died in February after a long illness. Since then I've been dealing with everything that entails. Unfortunately my business, First Class Glass, has suffered from lack of attention and will continue to do so because of everything I still have to do. So I have decided to take a break.

Starting now, and until further notice, I will not be taking any orders for First Class Glass. Come this spring I will do a complete update and be open for business.

Thank you for your continued patronage.

See you in the spring.

Caren Reed

Gadroon is one of the patterns made by Paden City.  Paden City Glass was in operation from 1916 to 1951.  It was located in Paden City, West Virginia.  They produced beautiful glass in many colors.   Gadroon was made in red, cobalt blue, amber and black that we know of.  It was made both plain and with etching.  (We are sorry but we cannot email photos of each and every piece of glass for sale.  If you need to see a picture of an item to know what it looks like we highly recommend The Collector's Encyclopedia of Depression Glass by Gene Florence.)

To see other patterns and colors please click on the button "Depression Glass" to take you to a list of all patterns and colors currently in stock.
