Florentine #1, also known as Poppy #1, was made by Haxel Atlas from 1932 to 1935.  There seems to be a lot of confusion between Florentine #1 and Florentine #2.  It's really quite easy to distinguish them.  In Florentine #2 all edges are smooth and rounded whether it's a plate or the foot of a cup or the edge of a bowl.  In Florentine #1 the plates are squared and have ruffled corners.  The bowls are also squared and have a rim with ruffled corners.  The feet on cups, sugars, creamers, sherbets, footed tumblers are all ruffled.  The pattern is the same on both, it's just the shape that's different.  Florentine #1 was made in green, crystal, yellow, pink and cobalt blue.  There are only a few pieces in the cobalt blue and they're just gorgeous.  (We are sorry but we cannot email photos of each and every piece of glass for sale.  If you need to see a picture of an item to know what it looks like we highly recommend The Collector's Encyclopedia of Depression Glass by Gene Florence.)
