Splashproof Turquoise

Fire King was made by Anchor Hocking.  Anchor Hocking began making Fire King in approximately 1942 and continue until 1976.  Today it is one of the most collected lines of glassware.  It was made in a myriad of colors and patterns.  The Splashproof line was introduced in the 1950's.  It was made in ivory, anchorwhite, jadite, turquoise and various designs on white, anchorwhite and ivory backgrounds.  For more information on Fire King please check out the books Anchor Hocking's Fire King & More by Gene Florence and A collector's Guide to Anchor Hocking's Fire King Glassware by Garry & Dale Kilgo and Jerry & Gail Wilkins.   Both books are excellent with super photos.
