Depression Glass
Dogwood Pink
Dogwood, also known as Apple Blossom, also known as
Wild Rose, was made by the MacBeth-Evans Glass Company from 1929-1932. It was made
in pale pink, green, monax (a transparent white), cremax (an opaque very pale coffee
color) and rarely in yellow. The 11" cake plate is extremely rare and it's not
easy to find the 12" oval platter or the pitcher that's shaped like the American
Sweetheart pitchers. The grill plates, they're divided in 3 sections - one large for
the meat and 2 small for the vegetables - come with the pattern at just the edge or all
over. The heavy cream and sugar are footed and the thin ones are flat. (We
are sorry but we cannot email photos of each and every piece of glass for sale. If
you need to see a picture of an item to know what it looks like we highly recommend The
Collector's Encyclopedia of Depression Glass by Gene Florence.)
