Colonial
Sahara Yellow

The Heisey Glass Co. started in the late 1800s.  They began making pressed glass in crystal (as in color).  Color was not introduced until the 1920s.  Heisey is considered by many to be the premier glass maker.  Colonial, also known as Medium Flat Panel, is one of the shapes made by Heisey.  It was made in a number of different colors including the Sahara (yellow) shown here.  It was made from the early 1900's to 1957.
