Children's Depression Glass
Laurel Jadite

Laurel is one of those patterns that is sometimes overlooked because it wasn't made in the usual transparent glass that is so associated with depression glass.  It was made by McKee Glass in the 1930's.  A children's set was made as well.  The child's set consisted of 14 pieces:  creamer, sugar, 4 cups, 4 saucers and 4 plates.  The kids' dishes came plain white, plain green, white, ivory or green w/ colored rims, green w/ Scottie dog decal or ivory w/ Scotty dog decal.  Most people will recognize Laurel when they see it in the children's dishes particularly with a "Scotty" decal.
