Depression Glass
Avocado Green

Avocado, also known as Sweet Pear, was manufactured by the Indiana Glass Co from 1923 to 1933.  It was made primarily in pink, green and crystal.  The edges tend to be rough, not chipped, from breaking out of the mold.  That seems to be a common fault with glass made by Indiana.  This pattern has been reproduced but the green is much darker and the new pink is rather ambery.  This was not made in a complete set.  The pitcher is by far the most difficult piece to find.  (We are sorry but we cannot email photos of each and every piece of glass for sale.  If you need to see a picture of an item to know what it looks like we highly recommend The Collector's Encyclopedia of Depression Glass by Gene Florence.)
