Art Moderne Black

Art Moderne was one of the VERY art deco styles of glass produced by Morgantown.  The name refers to the shape and was made only in stemware, both etched and not.  It was made in blue and black in combination with crystal.  The black often had gold etching.  The piece below is perhaps one of the most stunning goblets we've ever seen.  The stem is, of course, the Art Moderne, and the etching is called
"Victoria Regina" which was introduced in 1931. In actual fact it's a combination of cut and etched.  This particular goblet is considered rare.
